LAURA BOYER, AIA

Senior Architect

Laura is a thoughtful and accomplished architect whose work bridges the disciplines of historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and sustainable design. A registered architect since 2003, she is qualified by the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), and is widely recognized for her ability to unite technical precision with design sensitivity.

With a deep interest in how material science and building performance inform architectural expression, Laura approaches each project with a balance of innovation and respect for context. Her expertise in adaptive reuse allows her to uncover new life in existing structures while honoring their historic integrity.

A leader in advancing sustainable architecture, Laura served as Co-Chair of AIA Connecticut’s Committee on the Environment, where she curated educational programs promoting environmental design excellence. She has also been a Lecturer at the Yale School of Architecture, teaching in the Critical Systems sequence.

Active in New Haven’s cultural community, Laura serves on the board of The Institute Library and channels her creativity as a vocalist in a local a cappella chorus.
